Here are the big messages this week, the Lucky Star,

and what you can do with it.

The Lucky Star for this week is the Sun!

The Sun is very strong for us Monday through Friday, before the Moon takes center stage on the weekend. The Sun is currently in Cancer. In the sign of the crab, this dominating, illuminating, shining planet of brilliance is talking about things at home, things that make us feel secure, and things oriented toward what is good for our family and how we are nurturing each other.

Those ideas of nurturing, protective, and reflective things are really getting illuminated and brought to prominence—spotlighted all week long. Putting those things forward and giving them focus is exactly where our lucky energy is coming from this week. It is the best, easiest, and most straightforward energy available all week long.

As we head into the weekend, we get the benefit of the Moon taking over in the freedom-loving, truth-seeking, enthusiastic, and buoyant sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the seeker, carrying a religious, truth-seeking, and spiritual side that pairs beautifully with the Moon. This combination allows us to bring an expansive nature to how we go deep, understand the cycles of our lives, pull our dreams forward, and express them clearly.

Heads up on a major Sunday shift: The end of the week is going to be dramatic!  While Mars has spent the entire week crawling along the absolute edge of Taurus, it doesn’t wait for Monday to cross the boundary. On Sunday at 4:00 p.m. EST NYC, Mars officially makes its grand leap into Gemini—kickstarting a highly active transit that should last for about 6 weeks. We also have a Full Moon in Capricorn starting off next week!

This Week’s Aspects

A Conjunction is when 2 planets come within about 1 degree of each other. It’s the most powerful aspect, indicating an intensification and a blending of the energies involved. The conjunction can provide unity and focus and, in some cases, blur the boundaries between the planets’ functions in this relationship.

  • This week: We start out with a tight conjunction forming between Mercury and Jupiter in the sign of Cancer. We end the week with Mars conjunct Uranus in a dramatic conjoining that could have lasting impact.

A Square is a highly energetic angle – the planets involved challenge each other and can force issues to a head. Running away from the opportunity of these lessons means you will see them again soon; leaning into them brings growth and transformation.

  • This week: All week long, Chiron in Taurus squares Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto. The Moon also squares Jupiter and Pluto on Wednesday and squares Venus on Thursday.

A Trine is a beautiful, supportive, and harmonious aspect that provides energetic ease, grace, and flow among the planets involved. It isn’t especially challenging and can be a bit complacent. That said, in a week with a lot of challenges, a Trine can be a blessing. Planets in a Trine are like besties having a movie night, sitting on the couch, sharing popcorn and Skittles.

  • This week: Saturn is trining Venus all week long. On Monday, the Moon trines Uranus, and on Wednesday, a powerful Grand Water Trine forms between the Moon, the Sun, and the North Node.

A Sextile is a helpful aspect that encourages harmony and communication between the planetary energies making this connection. These planets have an opportunity to develop a gift or a talent together, but they must work together actively to get the benefit.

  • This week: Mercury holds a helpful sextile to Mars all week during our work week, releasing it on Saturday. Jupiter holds a helpful sextile to Mars all week. Venus and Mars share a supportive sextile through Friday. The Moon sextiles Venus on Monday.

Week of June 22: Day-to-Day Moves

Monday

We start the week with the Moon in Libra. It is a day of finding balance, feeling like it is only fair to be in our feelings, and balancing reality against our dreams. The Libra Moon makes a helpful sextile to Venus in Leo, allowing us to express compromises effectively and talk about things that are equitable. Because of a friendly trine to Uranus in Gemini, your feelings may shift and change, helping you see both sides of the coin.

However, the Moon also opposes Neptune in Aries. Neptune is the planet of illusions, dreams, mysticism, and fog. In Aries, Neptune wants to be spontaneous, driven, and dynamic, but it is hard for fog to act that way—it is a bit like trying to bottle smoke. This opposition creates a tug-of-war between how we might impulsively imagine things to be versus how we diplomatically express our needs.

All week long, Chiron in Taurus squares Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto. This alignment forces us to open up and say the thing that needs to be said, challenging us to approach our struggles from a different viewpoint—as if we are looking down from above to gain greater perspective, let go of the intensity, and hold onto the power of what we are bringing out into the light.

Tuesday

The Moon opposes Saturn today, bringing a fleeting tension between our feelings and Saturn’s grind. Overall, the day helps us connect with a harmonious, balanced approach as we cultivate our emotional state.

Wednesday

Wednesday’s aspects are quite intense and fascinating. The day features a high-stakes T-square with the Scorpio Moon at the center, squaring both Jupiter in Cancer and Pluto in Aquarius. In Scorpio, the Moon dives into what is hidden, intimate, private, and buried in the deep dark. This square forces out hidden emotions, deep feelings, and family secrets. While the Scorpio Moon might try to add another padlock to the closet where the skeletons are kept, the combined force of expansive Jupiter and Pluto—the planet of death, rebirth, and revolutionary phoenix energy—will blow that closet wide open.

Fortunately, Wednesday simultaneously delivers a gorgeous Grand Water Trine. The Scorpio Moon receives a massive helping hand from the Sun in Cancer and the North Node in Pisces. The Sun puts these deep issues on center stage, but it does so gently—bringing a cup of tea, a blanket, and a lot of support and love. The alignment with the North Node (the head of the dragon where we evolve, stretch, and seek destiny) asks us to open the door wide, lift ourselves out of the deep dark well, and see how we are growing.

Thursday

The heavy trines and T-squares release from the Moon, leaving a simple square between the Scorpio Moon and Venus in Leo. This asks us to be completely honest about the things we like and the truth of what makes us feel good. Meanwhile, Mercury and Jupiter continue to travel very close together in Cancer.

Friday & Saturday

During the first half of the week, the Sun makes a series of moving aspects—squaring Neptune, sextiling Chiron, trining the North Node, and sextiling the South Node. This brings our protections, traditions, and family circles to the fore, helping us seek clarity from past lessons as we figure out what to move toward and what to let go of. Mercury’s productive work-week sextile to Mars wraps up on Friday night, giving way to a quieter Saturday where the aspect is released.

Sunday

We cross into the tail end of the weekend with the Sagittarius Moon fully activated. This lets us explore the deeper, spiritual cycles of our lives with enthusiasm and clear expression.

Heads up on a major Sunday shift: While Mars has spent the entire week crawling along the absolute, slow edges of Taurus, it doesn’t wait for Monday to cross the boundary. On Sunday at 4:00 p.m., Mars officially makes its grand leap into Gemini—kickstarting a highly active transit that should last for about two months (I’ll double-check the exact duration for our next update!).

The second Mars enters Gemini, it begins hurtling toward a massive, loud, and erratic conjunction with Uranus. It sets up a volatile background for the upcoming week, meaning things are going to get electric! I’ll be posting separately about this and providing recommendations if you’d like more information from great astrologers talking about this topic right now.

Week of June 22 - Planetary Detail

  • Venus and Mars in a Slow Burn: Venus in radiant, generous, and magnetic Leo is partnering in a helpful sextile with Mars in Taurus through Friday. In Taurus, Mars is restrained, patient, practical, and secure. Venus in Leo loves to grab the mic and jump on the table, craving romance and attention. Together, they create a beautiful slow burn—like a warm light that keeps you feeling good all week long.

  • Jupiter’s Productive Push: Jupiter in Cancer also sextiles Mars in Taurus all week. This pumps an abundance of generous, expansive, and comfortable homebody energy directly into our family lives and household security.

  • Saturn’s Creative Support: Saturn is currently in Aries, which is a tough grind for him because Aries demands leaping before looking and hitting the road early—not his typical organized, rule-making style. However, Saturn forms a lovely trine to Venus in Leo all week. Venus helps ease the stress Saturn is under, while Saturn gives Venus the practical tools to build something real so she isn’t just a flash in the pan.

  • Chiron’s Call to Truth: Newly in Taurus, Chiron acts as a steady bridge between past wounds and practical integration. Its week-long squares to Mercury, Jupiter, and Pluto serve as a cosmic reality check, forcing us to stop hiding, voice the absolute truth, and view our history from a higher vantage point.

Stay tuned for next week’s update, where we will dive headfirst into the fast-paced, unpredictable environment of the Mars-Uranus conjunction, Mercury retrograde, and Jupiter’s historic ingress into Leo!

Be well,
