The special election for New Jersey’s 11th District, which includes portions of Morris, Essex and Passaic counties, is scheduled for Thursday, April 16th. Polls are set to open at 6:00AM, which will be both the day and hour of Jupiter (6:20am sunrise, 7:40pm sunset).
Polls open at 6AM to an impressive stellium in Aries with Aries on the Ascendant. This is a stunning group of 6 planets, including both the primary and secondary malefic (Saturn and Mars respectively) and both lights (Sun and Moon).
Mars is the master of the day as he is in domicile in Aries. It’s his show. Expect strong emotions, loud voices and don’t be surprised if someone brings a knife to the fight (possibly literally).

Mercury and Neptune are conjunct in the early hours and don’t get much space from each other all day. Expect confusing news, mis-represented reports and information that is difficult to interpret.
Jupiter lends support from the 4th house at dawn and ends the day in the 10th house providing comfort and softening the blow from Mars even as he is squaring the Moon. Saturn is conjunct the Moon, Mercury, and Mars, bringing stability to this complicated stellium. The aspects from both major planets persist throughout the day with no meaningful release, as polls close at 8:00 p.m.
The Moon spends the day moving closer to the Sun, beginning ‘Under the Beams’ and ending up ‘Combust’. That which is hidden, and unknown will become even further buried throughout the day as the force of the Sun dominates our emotions.
The last few hours of polling have Libra at the ascendant and issues of fairness and justice could be a focus. By day’s end, and in the hour of Mercury, the stellium descends into the sixth house, intact, with Scorpio on the ascendant and Taurus on the descendant. The direction will be set, and the victor will be “ready to get to work”. They will also be empowered by a surgical approach to their strategy. They may profess to ‘cutting out the bad seed’, or something to that effect.
Magical timing for working on this election could be the week prior on Thursday, April 9th. Mars will enter Aries in the early morning hours of April 9th and remain in 0 degrees until later that day. On this day of Jupiter, the Mars hour is the second hour of dawn, which would begin at roughly 730 a.m. At that time, Mars will be only seven minutes past zero degrees of Aries, and still in his full power and the power of that transit.
